Often we know what we want and how we want to feel but the demands of everyday life can leave us feeling stressed and powerless. Tapping is one of the most effective techniques to address the root of what’s holding you back so you can take your power back. Learn more below

For years, I treated my weight as my enemy.
I saw it as the obstacle standing between me and a body I could love. I was convinced that nothing in my life could work until I’d lost the weight. Like so many women, I tried everything—every diet, every new kind of exercise, even hypnosis—but even when the weight did come off, the pounds always managed to pile back on.

I was looking outside for the answers but everything changed when I began to look within. When I used tapping to let go of the weight of doubt, insecurities and judgments that inner work was reflected in my outer body...

I’m proud of my “before” picture. I was smart, beautiful and worthy EVEN in that body. I just needed to realize that for myself in order to experience the physical results. Tapping made that possible.

Jessica Ortner is a producer of The Tapping Solution, the breakthrough documentary film on EFT/meridian Tapping (TheTappingSolution.com). What is Tapping?

Tapping (also known as EFT) is a stress relief technique based on ancient Chinese acupressure points and modern phycology. Tapping on acupressure points while you focus on your stress sends a calming response to the brain making it possible to relax.

Harvard studies show the stimulating selected meridian acupoints decreases activity in the amygdala, as well as other parts of the brain associated with negative emotions. In fMRI and PET brain scans, you can clearly see the amygdala’s alarm bells being quieted when acupoints are stimulated.

Although the Harvard study focused on stimulating meridian acupoints with needles (acupuncture), a growing number of studies confirm the same positive impact when acupoints were stimulated without needles.

Dr. Peta Stapleton is a Clinical Psychologist who has spent the last 20 years researching weight loss and specific eating behaviors. In a study she conducted with Griffith University School of Medicine in Australia she documented the impact of tapping on weight loss. Her controlled study included 89 women who were between 31 and 56 years old and clinically obese used tapping over an 8-week period. They completed approximately two hours of tapping a week, which averages out to a little over 15 minutes a day. Without diet or exercise, the average weight loss was 16 lbs.
